THE SPACES BETWEEN YOUR FINGERS PROJECT
|
The SBYF Project is a grassroots community art project, whose mission is to share wisdom between strangers & generations, and to support families struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease & related dementias.
It is also the collective passion of a handful of artists, designers, writers and thinkers who believe that through connecting, sharing and learning we can make the world a little more interesting, a bit more friendly. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN • GRAPHIC DESIGN • PRINT DESIGN • BRANDING

In July of 2009, Matthew Ross Smith set out across America with the goal of meeting 3,000 strangers, and handing each of them a postcard. On one side of the cards he’d printed a question: “If your time was short and you could tell your child or grandchild just one thing, one piece of advice, what would it be?” We knew that for Matthew to reach a great audience, he would need a resounding voice that could reach the thousands he didn't get a chance to meet while on the road. We had one Matthew and yet, there more than 300,000,00 people within the United States.
Matthew would need a platform. Matthew and I, together with several other creatives, plotted, planned and built. What you see here is a the collective effort of many. And I worked directly with Matthew to ensure that the creative direction, voice and visual representation of our mission and culture stayed laser focus.
